What We Believe

“So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” Genesis 32:30

OUR DECLARATION OF FAITH

Scripture Inspiration

We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible and authoritative norm of faith and conduct.

God in three people

We believe that the one true God has revealed himself as the eternal existent self Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of humanity. It has also revealed itself as a Trinity, that is, a Being existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, as revealed in the Scriptures; we believe in his virgin birth, his life without sin, his miracles, his death on the Cross, his resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father.

The creation and fall of man

We believe that man was created good and righteous. However, he voluntarily sinned and was condemned not only to physical death, but to spiritual death, which is separation from God.

The Salvation

We believe that the only hope of redemption for man is through the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance before God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The ordinances

Water baptism: We believe that water baptism by immersion is a mandate to those who repent and believe in Christ as Savior. It represents death and resurrection with Christ to walk in newness of life.
The Lord’s Supper: We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the suffering and death of Christ and an announcement of his second coming. It is a mandate for all believers “until He comes”.

The baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that all believers should seek baptism in the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking in other languages, according to Acts 2: 4. This experience is power for the believer to testify with his life and his words.

Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is separation from sin and consecration to God.

The Church and its mission

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ with a divine call. Its mission is to evangelize the world, to worship God, and to encourage believers to grow in the likeness of Christ.

Divine healing

We believe that healing is possible through atonement and that it is the privilege of all believers.

The second coming of Christ

We believe that the blessed hope of the Church is the return of Christ in order to take with him the Christians who have died and those who live, so that they may live with him forever.

The events of the end of time

We believe that Christ will return with his saints to establish a kingdom of peace of a thousand years. Then come the final judgment of sinners and then the advent of a new heaven and a new earth.
